With Baen it's worth reporting the typos. But first check out the current version at webscription.net. It's likely that most of the typos have already been corrected.

Next I re-read: The High Crusade by Poul Anderson. Still excellent even after 50 years. And now onto Generation Warriors by Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Moon. I'm fairly sure I've read this in the dim and distant past. If it come back to me I might move swiftly on to Ragnarok by Patrick A. Vanner, the last of the new books in the October 2010 webscription I bought recently. |

I don't know why but I can't read Games of Thrones after several attempts. what's wrong with me?? everyone likes it. perhaps I just don't like it at the beginning, there are so many names that I have to remember. and I'm waiting for Percepliquis, maybe it's hard to start a new thing when you're not done with the previous.

![]() I doubt very much that "everyone likes it". I don't think there is a single book in the world that "everyone likes". There's nothing wrong with not liking a book. As I said, maybe it's not the right time for you. Or maybe you'll never like it. Does it really matter? There are so many great books to read, I'm sure you will find a few that you do like.

should have put it as "many ones like it" ![]() the problem is, I tried The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones) and I didn't like it. I tried The Girl who... (forget what she did, maybe she kicked some nests) and I didn't like it. I tried Mistborn and I didn't like it. and now I tried Songs of Ice and Fire and I didn't like it, again!!!! it's a little bit frustrating, is it not? |

Mortal Instruments is interesting, but I don't like that kind of stuff: teenagers, monsters, vampires... no thanks. Right now I don't have the mood to read books connected to youngsters. Mistborn: nothing impressive at the beginning. Songs of Ice and Fire: too many names to get acquainted to, another book with magical creatures. of course I didn't read more than the first 100 pages but I don't feel like reading that kind of book right now. and Riyria revelations, it focuses on 2 adults, with more mature issues. It contains little magic and few unreal things. complex-enough plots. good sense of humor in the right place, at the right time. should I try reading all of them again? (I mean Mortal Instruments, Mistborn, Songs of Ice and Fire.) |

Why waste time on something you don't enjoy? Reading is supposed to be a pleasure! Many people lead a perfectly happy life never reading books about dragons or magic. My mother is one of them. And she reads a lot. Just no fantasy or any of this "genre" stuff (yuck I hate that word). That still leaves about 10 gazillion books, many of which are actually worth reading, and many of which you may actually enjoy.

thanks for your reassurance, F-Art, DiapDealer and Richvalle I'll start a brand new "genre" tonight: HOW TO ANALYZE PEOPLE ON SIGHT.PS: some people will faint if they know I can't read "Oz" books, or Alice in wonderland. there must be a glitch in my little brain.
