Just got a Kindle for Android update 3.0 - Page 2

@bwaldron,

One day (about a week ago) Kindle crashed 4 times in a row, in a 1 hr period, nothing else was active. I had to uninstall and reinstall the whole app. It happened one more time after that.

I've had a couple of apps that crashed on iPad, like the Facebook app. and Zinio (before most recent upgrade) but no problems with Kindle there.

Today I just downloaded most recent version, let's see ....

Lots of tablet features, still not the features that I miss most from Aldiko (prior to them destroying it)... still no easy way to see progress after the book is opened (that I've found), still no way to change brightness with a side swipe, over-riding the auto brightness setting.

I assume you mean besides just a short screen tap (this shows the location bar, book title, and chapter title if applicable).

I'd like to have a way to see the chapter markers (and possibly a way to quickly navigate between them) as one can on the hardware Kindles.

OK, well fine, make me feel stupid... :-) Now that you point it out I vaguely seem to remember having encountered that before, but I forgot about it because I wasn't reading on my phone much. Lately I've been loading short stories and other such things on my phone for when I don't have my K3 with me, so I'm using the app more.

K4A had a problem where it crashed when reading side loaded mobi books, it was supposidly fixed (and was on mine) on one of the recent v.2 updates. I haven't used v.3 yet, so I don't know if it may have come back.

Thanks. It could be my problem. Need to keep using it again though with most recent upgrade.

This is one of my top wants in K4A.
