I remember hearing that one, but I really can't remember if it was true or not. I do know that some of the hotels I've stayed at smelled like there was a corpse under the bed |

I stayed at a "4" star hotel here in Malaysia and it was one of the worst hotels I have ever been in and to add insult to injury, it was expensive!

I once stayed in a motel in Zimbabwe, and as part of the turn-down service they also left the door open (this was at night...). We got back to our room to find the bed had a new blanket of flying bugs - literally thousands of them. Nice.

I stayed at a motel in Texas a few years ago - where the room door had obviously been kicked in - the frame was bent and the door had to be pushed/pulled shut. Fortunately I could slide the recliner against it at night.

Well it is the truth. This actually happened, in Las Vegas. Also, Kansas City, MO and Atlantic City, NJ and several times in Florida and California. It seems that in or under the bed in a hotel room is a fairly popular destination for the recently deceased.

Took an Urban Legend class in college. It was very interesting and informative. Snope.com is a great web site. For urban legends and so is Darwinawards.com

Ok, Fact of fiction. A prominent government leaders wife was so upset when she found out that her husband was cheating on her, she had her husbands body guards kill the woman. The body guards killed the woman by shooting her and then used 6 hand grenades to (hopefully) dispose the body. Fact of fiction? |

Nope thats all there is to tell and there's no punch line. Should I have added that it is still in the court system? |

I confess, I made a mistake about the hand grenades, they used C4. The case has been getting news here since 2006, there have been many accusations that the Deputy Prime Minister's wife has been openly connected to the crime, although not charged. This isthe way in Malaysia. From a Wiki article here if you want more interesting reading on this case have a troll using "Murder of Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa" as your search. Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa (Mongolian language: Шаарийбуугийн Алтантуяа; sometimes also Altantuya Shaariibuu; 1978 – October 18, 2006), a Mongolian national, was a murder victim who was either murdered by C-4 explosives or was somehow killed first and her remains destroyed with C-4 on October 18, 2006 in a deserted area in Shah Alam, Malaysia near Kuala Lumpur. The Shah Alam High Court meted out the death sentence to two of the accused on 9 April 2009, wrapping up the 159 day trial. |
