That takes "simplicity" to a whole new level, doesn't it? You could just get a Tyvek envelope much cheaper.

I guess everyone has a different idea of what is aesthetically pleasing. I love my Oberon cover but it took me about an hour to decide which one to go with and even then I was thinking up other ideas that I wish were available.

Well I ordered my Oberon Cloud Dragon cover a few days ago ($74 USD in total to ship to the UK via USPS) and I worked out that if I was caught for Customs & VAT etc. that it would cost me about £18 ($30 USD) however I've asked around on Kindle Boards and KUF and the few people I could find that got stung for VAT only paid around £15 ($25 USD) if that

I've bought 2 of these little cheap covers from Ebay and I love them. They are super lightweight. Of course the leather isn't as elegant as on a $60 cover, but they serve the purpose and they are pretty.

Is it beneficial to have the clasp on the left or is it worse?
Also I have read some complaints about similar covers possibly discoloring the device. Any truth to that?

It looks like the clasp snaps on the back side of the cover when you close it. I actually prefer the snap closure on the front, but a lot of them are made that way now (with the closure on the back).

I've not had any discoloration problems, but the ones I have are pink and white, so no dark colors. Don't know about the black.

I have a Kindle 3, and I'm looking for a cover for it. It has to be leather, and there need to be a closure on it. I've been looking at the Oberon ones, and I wouldn't mind paying 69$ for one, they claim that the shipping cost would be 86$, which is just insane, and while I love my Kindle, I'd never pay 150+ dollars for a cover. Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar cover that won't rob me blind?
