Hi,
first of all, forgive me for my english, isn't my mother language. Yesterday i released a new tool for Kindle, the name is E-nki It converts images (also inside compressed archives like CBR, CBZ) in folders to use with Kindle's image viewer. the site for download is: http://www.e-nki.com A short FAQ is available here: http://www.e-nki.com/faq.php I started to create this tool for myself, but I think can be useful for others too! Requests, bug reports, compliments and bad words are all accepted ![]() thanks! |

Is there anyway to use your tool to actually change the images inside a pdf file.
I have several books that don't carry over well with the conversion to mobi so they need to stay as pdfs, but the images don't show up. Is there anyway this can batch (or procedually) process the images inside a pdf? |

but your problem is interesting, can you send me a PM with details and an example document? if I understood, you have some pdfs with text and images inside, but Kindle doesn't show the images, only the text, am I right? |

Thank you for such a usefull program.
There is only one important missing feature. Then e-nki will be my most used program for kindle. I wish it doesn't rotate, but split two pages in landscape images. This picture is not what I want: ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is an option in comicrack for doing this. I use "split double pages" when converting to pdf: ![]() Last edited by yolbulduran; 04-23-2011 at 03:24 AM. Reason: typo |

Another useful feature of comicrack is, white-point correction.
Similar to white-balance for digital cameras. I get rid of un-necessary yellow areas in badly scanned comics by this utility. To do this, user must see the picture, and click a point he/she sure is a white point. It cannot be automated but unique for each comic book. It will be nice to see this feature also, in future releases. Again, thank you very much for such a great utility. Example: Before the white point correction: ![]() ------------------------------------------------------ After the white point correction. Not a perfect white, but better: ![]() Last edited by yolbulduran; 04-23-2011 at 03:23 AM. Reason: added picture |

Program doesn't seem to remember last saving directory. It asks everytime for a folder.

Folder issue: if you go to Options -> Settings you can specify the default output folder.
For example d:\comics\ In the program you need always to specify a folder prefix for the scans you are converting. When you press convert button, it always set the path to the default folder, for convenience if you have always one folder where you put all your converted scans, but give the opportunity to change it. In the next version I will put another option to always open the last one or to ask nothing after press the convert button. Split pages: nice request, if you can send me some sample images by PM I will try to do something. White color: i will download comicrack, sample images needed as for split pages. The next version of E-nki will out first week of may, it will have export to pdf option. |

I PM'ed.
And, exporting to pdf would be nice feature too. A note for white-point correction in comicrack. By default, all options are grayed-out in information (CTRL-I) screen. You need to (1) go to edit->preferences (CTRL-F9) (2) click: advanced (3) goto eComics (4) check "Allow Writing of eComic info into files" finding howto enable colors and other menus in infoscreen took my one week ![]() |
