I've actually just this weekend finished writing the novel, and I'm editing the last few episodes at the moment. (It didn't end on episode 23 as I originally planned)

edit: read episode 1. liked it a lot, will make my way through all the episodes that are available.

i haven't looked around or done any research, just seemed interesting from the first post and i jumped right into it.

are these episodes leading to a novel ? or are they just something to have people talking about before your novel? i did read that you expected to have seasons of this, which is pretty cool...kind of gives me the walking dead feel. I think it's really great idea and if your novel has some sort of tie in or same type of feel then i'll definitely get it when it's available. thanks again.

The episodes are parts of my novels. I will be writing several of them (not sure exactly how many)
The first book (this one) I've finished, and will be released in the next week or two as a novel on kindle/nook etc, It's 20 episodes long.
Episode 21 will be the start of book 2.

My idea is that I have several novels to write for James (current main character) and I also have a number of other novels that have different characters in them (some part written already), but they are all in the same "universe". I'm planning on releasing all of them as full novels, but also as episode based series.

I'm a huge fan of The Walking Dead! Can't wait for Season 2!

As a quick point, anyone considering reading these that hasn't already started, may want to wait a few days. I'm currently going through it all editing for typos, ready for publication as a complete novel. All of the episodes will be replaced in the next week or so with the revised versions. No plot changes, so anyone who has already read them won't have missed anything. The most I have changed is grammar, typos and descriptions or dialogue that I thought sucked, and I've tried to keep the changes to a minimum.

I'll still be releasing the last three episodes every couple of weeks for free on feedbooks as well as on every digital platform that I can get them onto.

very awesome, thanks. and i look forward to reading more. just finished episode 3, the journal idea is cool and works really well. i also like how he has time to jot some ideas down 1 day and because of a panic goes back and tells the story in another journal entry.

and yes, walking dead season 2 is going to be mega awesome

Apparently smashwords.com will be putting it on B&N, but It takes a couple of weeks.
(you can get most formats from smashwords but it means putting it on your device yourself)

also, when should we insert the readings of rudy/henry? when they are first mentioned (i have yet to get to that part ), after episode 18, or after all of the episodes?

@siraks "Rudy" and "Henry" you can read any time you like, they are just flash fiction short stories.

"Henry" doesn't turn up until James's second journal (that will puzzle you after you read it) but it does offer a slight clue to something significant for those who pick it up.

"Rudy" is a third person flash fiction of the way he got to the The Corridor.

I will be adding more soon. They are basically snippets that couldn't be told from James's point of view, some involving characters you know, others are new characters that will appear in other books. I wrote them along the way, don't know what to do with them, so I thought put them up becuase someone might like reading them.
