Agreed, this is in total violation of HIPPA rules which was put in place to protect individuals privacy & personal information for both the healthcare & financial industries.

And I will continue to point out (and report it) when people make personal attacks as opposed to arguing or attacking ideas. Have a good day now. |

Without quoting anything in that post it wasn't really possible to tell what type of behaviour you meant. I didn't notice any personal attacks?

Telling that you ignore somebody is like telling that they are stupid and will never produce an opinion worth listening to. Why would you bother telling everybody else that you ignore somebody if my meaning was not the intention. Ignoring a person is always a value judgement about the person. |

And even if it is, why should that be a problem? The ignore function is given here and I am allowed to use it and to have my own opinions. So are you. I have people on my ignore list and I know I am myself on other persons lists, too. Does not make me feel bad at all. |

You can check by unzipping your epub with with you favourite archiving program. Then comb through the content and metadata files with something like XVI32. I'm told that you'll find no suspicious codes. I have never done this myself and don't recommend it. |

It doesn't have to be illegal to remove anything from the file. If the ebook has been customized with your name (public information, not personal) you can remove it but you don't know if it's embedded somewhere else that isn't obvious. The idea is to make it a deterrent, not control.

I got off to a pretty bad start, when one of the earlier posts from Poppaea suggested that I might "consider regular postings in the joke-of-the-day-section". If that's not personal abuse or ridicule, I don't know what is. So, against my better judgement I decided to join in in a similar vein. Bad mistake! My apologies to anyone who has been offended by any of my comments. |

There is an enormous amount of irony in your post that you obviously can't see. And I think it is funny when someone who wants to do what he was asked not to do by the law and by the vendors business conditions wonders if others will abide when asked to do what he asks of them. If I were in your shoes I'd would make me laugh about myself to be pointed to the irony of it. When we go straigth down to it, you were asking if you who wants to steal something (which the DRM-stripping and distribution of copyrighted books is) and wonder if your fellow thieves are honest... You know what? I think it was quite nice of me to make fun out of it.
