And say hello to Jane for me. Nope it was an attempt at appearing superior, (If there was a doubt, the Jane Eyre remark confirms it) but this was subtly hidden behind the witty remark though it seems you missed that. And FYI, LOL stands for Laughing out Loud and not Lots of Laughs (right meaning but wrong wording) Last edited by Quexos; 04-16-2011 at 06:41 PM. |

Didn't feel that way to me unless you're feeling inferior... and as for LOL, FYI computer jargon dictionary has:
1. Shorthand for Laughing out Loud or Laugh out Loud, LOL is the most commonly used chat expressions to illustrate you are laughing during a text conversation or that you found something funny. LOL is also less commonly short for Lots of Laughter and Laughing on Line and is also often substituted by LAL, LAWL (Laughing a Whole Lot), and LOLZ. Although already an abbreviation LOL is also sometimes abbreviated even more as LL. So maybe I misremembered Laughter as Laughs... sorry for the serious crime... ![]() Quote:

At least the dictionary's not wasted on you though wisdom might be
![]() And the issue was never about feeling inferior, it was about feeling superior and pointing it out. And FYI That typo that started it all is not even mine, if you took the time to read the whole thing before jumping in, you would have noticed. D'oh! ![]() Quote:

Every now and then, I'll by a book from a retailer just because it's the right thing to do if I hang out there, but they are at a serious competitive disadvantage. That one click option on Amazon is devastating to bookstores. Click, synch, read. That's probably the greatest reason Amazon is as big as it is today.

Make your mind up... if it was about feeling superior then it was intended and therefore not a typo, if it was a typo then it was accidental and couldn't have been about feeling superior... and the mention of "typo" was yours... plus I did read everything including your attacks and FYI, if I feel like jumping in then I hadn't noticed any rules about doing it or have you managed to become an admin or moderator?

Oh I wouldn't say that. We did let George III know we didn't appreciate his Stamp Tax or the one on Tea in a big way some 235 yrs ago.

![]() And who is talking about apologizing ? One cannot be condescending and apologetic at the same time. I believe there is a contradiction in the terms here. Just nevermind all this and continue reading Jane "Air" ... Quote:
I guess that should have been my first message on miss condescension 2011 Maybe she would have gotten my point across ![]() Subtlety only protracted this whole thing and, as it turns out, to no avail. And Kennyc, I believe the correct thing to tell me, all things considered would have been "drop the defense" which is what I believe I was endeavoring. In any case I'll follow your advice. There are such things as lost causes ... Back to topic now. Last edited by Quexos; 04-17-2011 at 04:16 AM. |
