Well, the Siamese has gotten his way. He wants on my lap. But there isn't room for him between ME and the keyboard slide. So I had to move the keyboard up to the top of the desk on top of my desk calendar and push the slide in. Now Sinatra is very happily ensconced on my lap while resting his head on my right arm while I type above him.

Just come on over; I'll find you something to do. I'll cross my fingers as well for you and send good thoughts.

My little wonder kitten has developed a new past-time ... she's become addicted to pulling out the Dr. Scholl's insole liners from our shoes - AFTER they've been worn & sweated on. Every night before I go to bed I have to find and replace the liners in our shoes. Stella lays them out neatly on the carpet next to the shoes.
Wouldn't she like to spend some time overseas? You know; to broaden her mind....expand her view and so on?
No, seriously: you seem to have adopted a real nice friend there.

But back when Chris was getting fitted for his hearing aids and we were in and out of the audiologists office, every time I'd take out my EZ Reader someone would stop and have to look at it. I thought it was fun - especially the one time it was a doctor who otherwise looked like he was in a big hurry but acted like he just couldn't resist. Then there was the time I took it to one of my appointments, and the nurse caught me reading while waiting for the doctor in the exam room. Once I explained what I had, she took off with the reader to show the other nurses and the doctor. I've always wondered how many sales I made that day...
Outside of the doctor and nurses, I've only had one person start a conversation about my Kindle in a doctor's waiting room. When she did, another fellow mentioned he had a Sony, but he didn't know what model he had, and didn't seem to know much about it.

My dentist, along with the dental hygienist, the aides and receptionists who work in his office, are always asking what I'm reading.

I've yet to see anyone but me with an e-reader in public, although one of my workmates occasionally brings his NookColor. He's not much of a reader, though.

Some of my customers have told me they have a Kindle or a Nook, but the only other ereader I've seen "in the wild" here belongs to rebarnmom.

I would have thought that a room full of teachers would have at least a few people familiar with electronic media and ebooks. (No ipads or tablets either.)
Wow, I would have thought so, too.

I have never seen an ereader in the wild, but then again I got funny looks at Starbucks reading a PBook (This Starbucks happens to be attached to Borders) people here don't seem to read for fun , other than comic books.

Dixie (I will use the full name from now on, promise) sending you all the good SE Asia vibes, some coconuts and a big Orangutan Hugs and kisses, and trust me when I say you know you've been hugged and kisses by an orangutan
