Is it all of us Southerners who are severe storm conniseuers? Or just me, due to growing up close to an uncle who is a meteorologist?

We are supposed to get "straight line winds" today, instead of tornadoes. The straight line winds always cause more havoc than simple tornadoes, because they are not short lived and just keep blowing.

I wish we had a tornado cellar. They make excellent junk storage space, sort of like an underground garage.

We had them installed last year, and our last bill was at least only one third

of what it usually was.

It went through the Univ of Ala campus, now heading for the road where my sister lives. Yes, they said people on her road should take cover. I'm talking to her they are going to their storm cellar

Now they are naming my neighborhood, Hueytown. And satellite just went out. It's getting bad.

I think it passed now and is heading for downtown Birmingham. Lots of flying debris in our yard. Haven't heard from my sister again, no cell service in a concrete hole in the ground. Now it is just

Crap! Another one coming! Sirens again, satellite out again. It's hard to see tornadoes in the dark. They were talking about damage reports before we lost the satellite again.
