Elita Daniels' latest book, Vampire romance "Guardian" is now out. ![]() Available now now at http://elitadaniels.com/guardian (Kindle, ePub and PDF formats) 99c introductory launch price Synopsis: Quote:
Guardian is definably a unique story one of its kind, fast paced , new and refreshing and a different side to the Vampire saga we see every day. No turning pages back to see what you have missed or miss read full bore ahead till the end. It's intriguing and uniquely captivating all in one. Elita has created a world entirely of her own - bringing in old Vampire traits and also creating her own. The story is filled with mystery, and suspense, bursts of passion, and characters that fluently ran with the storyline. Chapters all smoothly streaming from one to the next. Secondary characters short and sweet, playing their rolls and well blended into the plot. Main characters contained that essence of passion and lust, sex scenes mild but tantalizing. Anna I found to be a damaged soul, being betrayed by someone she loved , we can all relate to that I am sure. She was kickarse when she needed to be and eventually love did find its way. Greg and Anna - seemed to oddly match - being both very different, Having their spurts of lusty but loving moments. A read that will keep you interested right till the end. Overall an enjoyable short read, I look forward to the next installment. http://elitadaniels.com/guardian - 2 Chapter sample provided in PDF format. Last edited by MrPLD; 04-08-2011 at 06:24 AM. |

I'm getting some nice reviews for 'Summon Your Dragons' on B&N. I'm averaging 3 stars but the more recent reviews, now that I've done something about the typos (hangs head in shame), and ratings are 4-5 stars. Here's a sample review:
"I was so pleasantly surprised to dig into this story and find myself unable to put it down. You never know what you will get with a self-published book. The author manages to avoid the tired fantasy cliches and come up with something fresh and entertaining. I enjoyed the subtle sense of humor evident in some of the writing - it made the characters approachable and real to me. Yet there is also is also plenty of action and scary stuff to round out the tale. First in a series of three, I believe. I'm devouring the next book "The White Fox" right now." And there's this one: "Id recommend it to everyone in the world. Very good. Great story. Has a nice plot." (no I honestly didn't write that, don't know who did, but I like them a lot whoever they are). The two sequels ('The White Fox' and 'The Tower of Sheagil') are also looking good. 'The White Fox' is averaging 4 stars. One review says: "It was a nice read. Couldnt stop reading in some parts. The first was better though." 'The Tower of Sheagil' has a five star rating on B&N (but only one customer has rated it). There's a nice review of it on Goodreads: "I really enjoyed this fantasy series by Roger Parkinson. Very well written and unique storyline, with memorable characters. Starting with Summon Your Dragons, then continues in The White Fox, this third and final story is a fitting ending with a few surprises up its sleeve. Worth a read." Just a reminder about my style in these stories: No magic rings, no elves or dwarfs. No Dark Lord who has heaps more armies than the good guys and almost no dragons. Also no one small saves the world (that plot has been done). What there is is a bunch of people struggling with questions about who they are and what their myths really mean. Sometimes swords are involved, sometimes it's knives and sometimes it's centipedes. Ugh! We had a huge one in our house a couple of times, no I mean for real, not in the book. Anyway, everything you need is in the footer and the first one is free so knock yourselves out. Last edited by Roger Parkinson; 04-08-2011 at 06:52 AM. |

FREE preview/review edition of a new choose your own adventure
Last summer, my friend Daniel Pitts and I released a weird and absurd choose-your-own-adventure, The Adventures of Whatley Tupper, and now we're finally ready with our new CYOA, The Redemption of Mr. Sturlubok, to be released on April 30th, but a FREE preview edition is available now.
![]() Youtube trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3unNOqCrLc Mr. Leroy Sturlubok—a high-strung, loose cannon, take-no-prisoners kind of guy—has recently risen to the lofty echelons of society. He’s become a public elementary school vice principal. But when it seems that someone has broken through the defenses of his beloved workplace, a single decision leads to a labyrinthine world of possibilities. Will he solve the mystery of his predecessor’s sudden (although beneficial) demise? Will he foil a terrorist plot from the afterlife? Will he team up with a telepathic elderly Japanese man who looks strangely similar to Sulu from the original Star Trek? Will he allow Tony Danza to film his new reality television show in his school? Will he find out just who the hell is taking all the damn photocopy paper? Will he return to his native Norway and lead a life fit for the mighty Norse god Odin, himself? Will he start a new life among those rude and wretched Canadians? Or will he learn the insidious secret about his ex-wife’s French fiancé, Andre Cartier? The choice, as always, is up to you: the reader. With more than 100 choices, 46 different endings, as well as dozens of hyperlinked footnotes, The Redemption of Mr. Sturlubok contains enough twists and surprises to keep even the most hyperactive adult entertained. You won’t be able to help yourself from smiling—like a Kindergarten class during flu season, The Redemption of Mr. Sturlubok is infectious. A note from the authors: Rudolf Kerkhoven and Daniel Pitts have more than 20 years of teaching experience between the two of them. The Redemption of Mr. Sturlubok does not in any way reflect anything they have learned or witnessed If you would be interested in a free preview edition copy of the book, please just PM me here or email me at rudykerkhoven (at) yahoo (dot) com |

Bloated Goat has been getting some great reviews. It is a funny, wacky story for ages 8 and up. If you like Shrek, The Simpsons, Police Academy, Despicable Me, or Megamind, you'll enjoy it.

MIDNIGHT REFLECTIONS - UK review
Just got this review today from the UK
![]() 5.0 out of 5 stars Romantic Thriller, 8 April 2011 By Black Rose (Wales) - See all my reviewsThis review is from: Midnight Reflections (Kindle Edition) I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a romantic thriller which contains sad moments, suspense and romance. I liked all of the characters even the bad guys but the two main characters were excellent especially Robin who was a knight in shining armour (well a big yellow 'Make-My-Day'). It's a well written romance with a story, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend this book very highly! |

Four Stars and Up lists only those Kindle books that average four stars and up on at least ten reader reviews. The prices are right too.
My historical espionage thriller The Losing Role made the cut and is listed as a "hidden gem," so check it out while you're there: http://www.fourstarsandup.com/post/4...steve-anderson Also, The Losing Role is currently only 99 cents. Thanks! Last edited by Steve Anderson; 04-11-2011 at 09:03 PM. |

GOLF Fiction - "The Right Side of the Fairway"
The Right Side of the Fairway
Golf fiction.... an unpredictable adventure! Synopsis: Golf fiction that's both humorous and dramatic, with unpredictable twists and turns! Ben Richards is a disgruntled postal worker who finds solace in his weekly golf game with the colorful, eccentric group he's nicknamed "the three stooges." He is a hapless hacker until a wayward golf ball strikes him in the head, miraculously transforming him into a PGA-caliber golfer. This sets into motion a chain of events that alters the direction of his life, both on and off the golf course – in ways he never could have imagined. Join Ben as he experiences exhilarating triumphs, overcomes heartbreaking setbacks, meets the love of his life, and ultimately discovers his destiny. Review Summary: "If you enjoy golf and you're looking for a light summer-feel good read, this book fits the bill. While the main story centers around golf, knowledge or a love of golf is not a prerequisite for enjoyment of this book." —Carl H., Goodreads review . . .

Sorry for the confusion, Geoff. "We" includes my husband (the author) and myself. Creation and promotion of this book are a team effort. He writes, and I take care of the more technical details.

My thriller, ACCIDENTS WAITING TO HAPPEN, is only 99cents at the moment, instead of $2.99 at B&N and Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Accidents-Wait...dp/B004MDLXNE/ http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...=2940012277367 Blurb: Josh Michaels is worth more dead than alive. He just doesn't know it yet. He has no idea why someone would try to kill him, clearly that's exactly what happened. When an SUV forced Josh's car off the road and into a river, it might have been an accident. But when Josh looked up at the road, expecting to see the SUV's driver rushing to help him, all he saw was the driver watching him calmly...then giving him a "thumbs down" sign. That was merely the first attempt on Josh's life, all of them designed to look like accidents, and all of them very nearly fatal. With his time--and maybe his luck--running out and no one willing to believe him, Josh had better figure out who wants him dead and why...before it's too late. I hope people will check it out. |
