IQ Pocketbook 701/IQ firmware 2.0.6NA - Page 2

Ok, maybe someone can help me? I flashed 2.0.6, and can no longer see any covers to my books on the ext. sd.
I am in shelf mode, not folder mode. I reflashed 2.0.2 & then 2.0.3, I had covers and book progress in both versions, but as soon as I flash to 2.0.6, I can no longer see covers in library, it's just a generic gray cover. And I no longer can keep progress on books.
I have not changed anything, or downloaded anything else, just can't figure out why everything works fine in both versions until I flash 2.0.6 and then it messes up.
Oh, and I also tried it with a different sd card, and got the same results.

Try other reader apps.
Aldiko and Moon+ show covers. If they can't, the issue might be the files (where are they from?), if they can you may not need the PB Reader.

I am not using the original launcher but opening the Library app which should be the default reader shows covers.

The files were showing the covers and progress without a problem in the other versions of firmware. This only started happening since I downloaded 2.0.6.
Earlier today, I started fresh, cleared everything through privacy, then flashed 2.0.2 & then 2.0.3, once again I could see covers, some, not all. So then I went ahead, and flashed 2.0.6 and once again I don't have covers, I can at least get the progress on a book though. Earlier I couldn't even keep progress.

I wonder if your cover problem is related to the stability problems I am seeing with 2.0.6? I have had LauncherPro and other apps FC and spontaneous reboots... one where it was in a reboot loop and I had to reset. I think I am going back to 2.0.5 as it seemed more stable. But I hate reinstalling all my apps!

Well I downloaded aldiko, and that works fine, I have covers and info. And I downloaded adobe for my pdf's.
I use to be able to see covers for everything right in reader, but at least it's working with these programs.
Some how my PBreader is corrupted or something, and I've reflashed from 2.0.2, up to 2.0.3, and then 2.0.6, I've done it so many times that I'm just happy to have it working again.

I haven't had any issues since I reinstalled 2.0.6...
...but that might be because I'm not using any of the bundled apps and I killed the widget and all its baggage at boot. Since sleep mode is real now, I may not have to reboot until the next update.

Just wondering if there is a difference between 2.0.6NA & 2.0.6? I noticed that there are 2 different threads, and was wondering what the NA stands for and if they are different?

It stands for NorthAmerica , no idea about the differences.

The two threads are because I'm careless.
I saw the new firmware at the support site, looked for a notice here and missed the other thread.

I'd use the PB Software, but it doesn't work. It used to crash bookinfo, so I installed the repack which didn't have the apps.
Now I've updated and the bookinfo thingy doesn't run, so files are mysteriously hidden from the library.
The updates went fine, but I can't even manage to enable usb debugging because the menu is missing. It's weird.
Regardless, Aldiko runs, so I'm fine, but I'd like to be able to use it fully and also to understand Android.
