Sounds interesting. I'll add it to my list.

I'm about halfway through and I enjoy it. Quite different from the other fantasy books I've read. Interesting that the story is based on the Norse mythology.

Hi! (First post... yaaa me!).

Currently reading Ian M. Banks - "Consider Phlebas". I had read his "Player of Games" ages ago and figured I'd work though his Culture series book by book.

I'm also working though Terry Prachet's Diskworld Series. Just finished up "Witches Abroad" and have "Small Gods" queued up next.

And I'm anxiously awaiting the arrive of Jim Butcher's next Dresden book "Ghost Story". Man, what a series that is!

Mostly reading on a color nook but also the odd paper back from flea markets/garage sales/library.

Welcome to the forum.

I absolutely love Iain Banks (his non-scifi persona), BUT not Iain M Banks, as I just can't get into Space Opera sci-fi. The Wasp Factory has to be one of my all time faves.

I was reading Diva by Alex Flinn, stayed up late last night to try to see if there was anything worthed it. you know, because it's usually boring at the beginning (it took me 2 whole years to finished the 1st book of Les Misérable ). Turned out to be nothing at all. and I totally lost interest.

This morning I try another one by Alex Flinn also: A kiss in time, if I remember it right. Just a few first pages before going to school so I cannot say anything about it, but I have a feeling that it should be better than Diva.

oh. then I won't read it, at least this year or next year... there are so many good books out there. thanks for your comment

I do love his space opera sci-fi. On the other, I loved The Wasp Factory as well. This author is a win-win for me.

Just finished Flash Gold by Lindsay Buroker. Cool little steam punk novella. Will read more from this author.

Thanks for the "hello's" but I think I'm going to have to leave this website. It's horrible!

I've only been here a short time and I've already added 5 or 6 books to my list of books to read. And found a link to Project Gutenberg's Sci-fi page. And from there the Fantasy one. Good lord... how much is a guy supposed to read!?

I had started an Evernote account just to keep track of books to read. I'm afraid if I stick around it will grow in size until it becomes a black hole of the internet... all data getting sucked down it's unfathomable size.

For the sake of the internet... I must go.

Well... maybe just 1 or 2 more books...

This place is evil.

The murderer lost his legs when the Titanic sank, and had prosthetic legs he could remove and scuttle about below eye level.

I shall continue on, with a liberal helping of Nero Wolfe to add spice to this heady experience.
I'm having the same ball! I'm done reading all of the John Dickson Carr books from the Langtail Press and have gone on reading Halfway House by Ellery Queen. Though Ellery Queen is good, Carr is better, so I'm waiting in great anticipation for the next batch of books from The Langtail Press. This publisher is the best thing that has happened admirerers of the classic detective story in years, as they bring back books that have been too long out of print and almost impossible to get. I'm only hoping for a renessance of Quentin Patrick as well. Does anybody know of ebooks by Quentin Patrick (AKA. Patrick Quentin, AKA. Jonathan Stagge)?
