I didn't take them off, the fire department did. that was the only way I was going to be able to get out of the ceiling. you could kind of say I was all tied up in my work (and there are pictures... somewhere...)

Just for a lark (and $100 a day!), I posed as a murder victim a few times for a law enforcement photography training class when I was younger. They had the BEST makeup -- my best "death" was a hammer blow to the forehead. Very gory. That was back in the early 80's when you didn't have to think about who might see those pics. They're probably online somewhere now, though.

My SO is going on a trip in a few hours and out of the blue, asked me if I picked out a book for him to read on his trip. I looked at him like he had two heads because he travels all the time and has never asked for a book. He said this time is different because he's going to be travelling to his destination in a car, but flying home. At first I thought to give him the ereader, but he broke my very first reader, the Sony blue 505, when he was travelling with it, so I said that maybe he should take a book. He gets bored easily so I figured I'd better give him a really well written book. I suggested Wally Lamb's I Know This Much Is True. However, it's such a large book, it's probably not the best for travelling. So I said that I would let him use my Sony 650 but he must know that they're in short supply so replacing it, won't be easy, if it gets broken, so be careful. But just now, as I was Venting and Ranting, I remembered that I have a Kindle!! Which is totally replaceable! AND... if he doesn't like my choice, he can download whatever book he wants, while on the road, because it's 3G. That was close!

OK, I'm fine now. No vent or rant needed. My Sony 650 is safe.
