Well "The Image" is only $1 for the Kindle edition on Amazon and claims to be literature.

Some classic works which I have enjoyed are:

I did some searching on Smashwords, Diesel and a few other sites by sorting Erotica by popularity. (With the idea that if it's popular/well reviewed it might be better than just stroke stories.) The following authors seemed to show up a lot:

I love this site. You name a theme or genre and you get 100 posts with recommendations, comparisons, suggestions, etc. This place is a reader's paradise!

Now, if I could only find the time to actually read!

Ah! There (as the poet said) is the rub. We can now carry 100's of books around with us to be read at a moments notice, but life is so fast paced that it's sometimes hard to find the actual time to do the reading. There is an irony in there somewhere I think.

Maybe it's just due to the kind of reading... one handed reading is a bit distracting at times and can lead to, well, lets call it: less reading

So, soon after making the pronouncement that "incest is not my thing", I start reading this: The Romance of Lust, or Early Experiences. I found the book here in the library. What caught my attention was the label of "Victorian Era Erotica", what this really is, is straight up porn!

What's one of the first things we learn? The main character has engaged in nightly sessions of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" with his younger sisters. Oh, yay (sarcasm). Of course, things only progress, in a very round about way, from there.

This whole situation has me quite conflicted as they are clearly just "kids" (well young teens) exploring their sexuality, and there is no psychological manipulation going on. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, if said kids were not also siblings.

However, my biggest issue with the story so far (I've read a little under a quarter of the book), is that the kid is a darn Energizer bunny, with a ridiculous amount of stamina. One insatiable woman, then two frisky girls, then the same insatiable woman, all on the down-low, and in just a matter of hours... really?

Don't get me wrong, its an entertaining read (incest aside), I'm just having a difficult time "believing" any of it.

I didn't know porn was supposed to be realistic

I picked this one up based on this rec, at 99 cents it's kind of hard (heh) to see the downside to trying it out. Also I want to see how the language used in Victorian porn differs from modern language about sex. Yes, this is all about the research. Really.
