I'm starting on Runemarks by Joanne Harris. This book has been on my TBR list ever since Ea recommended it.

Just finished this month's Book Club selection, Hal Spacejock by Simon Hayes; one of the most enjoyable books I've read in quite a while. I love robots with personality, and Hal's sidekicks—the dilapidated but spirited Clunk and the ship's snarky computer—are a real hoot.

Also, I'm a bit over half-way through a book recommended by KennyC: Forged: Writing in the Name of God—Why the Bible's Authors Are Not Who We Think They Are by Bart D. Ehrman. With his insights, scholarship, historical knowledge of the subject, and clear style of writing he has produced a book that is as informative as it is a pleasure to read.

The only thing I don't like about Forged is that it isn't available in a Kindle format, so I'm having to settle for reading it on my iPad; which means that if and when the Kindle edition ever comes out, I'll have to buy it again so I can copy all the highlighted passages to my computer.

Started The Terror by Dan Simmons. It's a lengthy tome, so I hope it will be worth it.

Not a perfect book, by any means, but very interesting.

I'm currently reading Rainbow Six, by Tom Clancy.

Nautical, historical, with just the right hint of supernatural?? It's like he wrote it just for me.

Yeah, that was a pretty good one, for sure. I'm reading The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet. It is over 500 pages and I'm almost to page 90. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Haven't posted here in a while.

Finally finished Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Had a hard time keeping at it and as an animal lover, certain parts of the story were hard to read. Overall though, a good read.

Also read the first two novels in Diana Wynne Jones' Chrestomanci series - Charmed Life and The Lives of Christopher Chant. Both were fun reads, but I like the second book especially. Looking forward to more of her YA novels.

Currently about 3/4 of the way through Gridlinked by Neal Asher. An action packed 007 of the future. Read some reviews about a confusing ending, but so far it's keeping me interested.

Cool! I feel that way about The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. My two favorite poems are by Coleridge. The other is Frost at Midnight. Polar opposites, but both resonate with me.

I liked this book, but not enough to compel me to buy any of his other books.

Just finished TAG by Simon Royle. Recommend it strongly.

Just starting Flash Gold, a steam punk novella by Lindsay Buroker.

since i've gotten my kobo i find myself reading more and more at the same time.

finished recently :

night of the living trekkies
shatnerquake (its more of a short story)
saving rachel - by john locke --- didn't know this was part of a series (donovan creed) and the 3rd book to boot lol.

that was over a couple of weeks

currently reading:
lethal people - the first book in the donovan creed series
the tether: none good

not masterpieces but fun reads and that's what i go for.
