That's what I would normally say.
However, I was recently very surprised and came to the following conclusions: a) I sort of like Chai from Fortnum and Mason. b) I realise it is a nice drink when you have cold. I cannot explain it but drinking it makes you feel a bit better. It sort of alleviates the cold symptoms. Only tiny little bit but still...you feel a bit more revitalised afterwards. c) Chai teas are different. So far I have tried two. One is a pure Chai from Fortnum and Mason. Pure in a sense that it is blended with ingredients that should be there (I am sure it is only a fraction of what could be added). Another one is from Tea House Emporium (Tea shop/room in Bath). Their Chai deviates from straight path by adding cooked(black) Pu-Erh, or should I say they added Chai to Pu-Erh? Pu-Erh Sweet Chai - not my cuppa. Too pungent. Then again, wifie likes it and drinks it now because she has got the same virus/cold as I do and she noticed that it is a pleasant drink when you feel like that. ![]() Anyway, lunch time, thus Yorkshire Gold dust. |

Can you get some ginger ale? It helps settle my stomach if I'm feeling bad, preferably along with a couple of plain crackers (saltines.) Hope you feel better!

Thank you for the advice Betty and Deserblues, unfortunately I don't have ginger here. But I do have some crackers. I always get huge stomach aches when I eat after a long period without food. The doctor says it's because I eat too fast, but I always make sure I eat slowely! Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better already, just spend the last 10 minutes doubled over in my chair
![]() The meeting was this morning, so it's already over. It was very official, we had to present the setup of a new study so there's always the chance the people who give us money won't like it and demand something else. But it was OK ![]() Cup of green tea, good stuff ![]() |

iced green tea in one and Vashon Island Roasterie Fair Trade coffee in the other
in the future go for bubbly mineral water if you do not have any ginger handy. also try a little bit of carb loading on the mornings you know you will have meetings that will get the tummy in a twirl |
