Not an option for me. I would never put my Nook Color in the bottom of my bird's cage!

If anyone is interested in the topic of the newspaper's transition to digital, I sort of recommend reading Ken Doctor's Newsonomics. Good explanations of the trends and anecdotes in different news rooms (broadcast, newspaper, big and small), but the writing is a bit rushed. Also, the Kindle edition has bad formatting and linking. But it's the most relevant book I've seen on the topic.

Yeah, additional pricing for additional devices--not cool. I think The Economist has a reasonable price, I would subscribe to them once I actually have income (I'm a student right now). I would pay for news, but it has to be fairly priced, or else others might be tempted just to pirate it (especially when it's only some CSS layer that's blocking them from the content). I don't pay for news or magazines, but I would in the future. For now, there's enough free content across many sites that would allow me to snack a little bit here and there, all with the marvelous help of Instapaper and my Kindle. I'm also in the no-TV camp Here in Canada, we have public broadcasting that delivers great news via radio/podcasts. It's good stuff.

I'm using the Android app and haven't encountered a limit on articles read. There's no prompt to login or anything. Any insight on why this is the case?
