Me too! I still have it - but no idea how to use it anymore!
I remember working part time jobs to save up for my first calculator - a Texas Instruments model that cost $99 [add/subtract/multiply/divide/square roots]!

Those monsters would print an entire line at a time, thus the name "line printers", and would sit there going CHUNK-CHUNK-CHUNK as they ate paper and ribbons.

Anyone have a Okimate 20 or the Commodore clone of the same?
Thermal transfer printing was amazing at the time!

I had a job in the university of NSW library. They had one of those printers in the basement printing every transaction of every terminal in the building. I think it was a backup to work out what went wrong if something went wrong.
Anyway, every morning I would lug a couple of boxes over to the garbage. Later on I turned it around and had the paper print straight into the waste cart. For months that thing churned out paper that went straight into the dumpster.

Yep, and all because they wouldn't trust the words on the terminal screen that said exactly the same thing.
