I can see the usefulness of this Amazon app store since Google at the moment don't publicly support there market for other devices than smartphones.

Wow! Notice how they charge more for data on devices with larger screens? Phones get a lower rate while tablets and laptops a higher one.

Me neither. Chess is the only game I've got installed and I try to keep it that way. My Hero phone has limited internal memory and I've already filled it up with other non gaming apps.

When the nintendo, with the original Donkey Kong, came out, I bought it. I was staying up until 4 am trying to get through all the levels. I finally did, and packed it up and gave it to my brother. But now I have Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio on my tab and my phone. Not only are these a HUGE time waster (and I know, cause I am wasting the time - they are worse than reading romance novels), I will soon owe my soul to Amazon (1-click ebooks, 1-click apps, prime shipping).

Im enjoying Angry Birds Rio but thats about it. Most of these apps are already available for free in the Android Marketplace so Amazon isnt really offering me anything right now.

The Amazon Appstore looks really nice; the large product description section (for some), the review system, the links to other apps of interest, all far more nicely laid out. I don't know if there's a notable difference in inventory compared to the Android Market, but when it comes to presentation and shopping experience, Amazon is showing why it's Amazon. I think this is a good thing for app developers, too.
