So it appears I'm going to be pretty busy this semester and won't have time to use my PRS-505 on a daily basis - probably going to use it occasionally on weekends. Seeing how quickly standby sucks up battery charge over time, would it be wiser to go to the settings and manually shut off the device after each use? Lithium ion cells (at least the ones in my laptop) tend to lose its capacity after so many charge cycles. I'd hate to see that happen to my beloved Five-oh-five, seeing how the battery in here is definitely not user-easily-replaceable. what's better for the health of the battery? would you guys recommend to leave it on standby and charge it every week or shut down after use (probably won't use it on weekdays)? thanks so much |

If you're not going to use it all week, shut it down.

Just curious, but how do you do a complete shut down? I thought that just flipping the power switch turned it off.
