which one is that (the one your wife has)? I am looking into either PRS-350SC or PRS-650RC. I really like the pocket one, which seems easier to carry around in pocket or purse. Its quite a jump up to the bigger one and from what I read here, the pocket one is really a favourite one here.

She has the 600 and I have the 505. I have never seen the 350 but read books on my iTouch which is even smaller.

It's for sure, I will get the Sony PRS 350 pocket reader (only 350 and 650 in store but the 650 is sold out in most places). I tried it in the Sony store, got a demo and good information from the sales guy. Going for pink plus a pink cover plus a reading light, CAN'T WAIT for my tax return now....

Let us know how you like it! I know how you feel about the tax return.

I used part of mine to buy my Nook. I was so happy when I was finally able to get my dedicated reader.

So has anyone actually downloaded a nook from a library system? I wanted to download a Mystery novel and there were only 7 titles available. All the rest were on hold.

I've downloaded a few from my local library system. I'm actually reading one now. Most of the books I borrowed had no wait list but I admit that I don't really read too many bestsellers or books from popular genres like Mystery or Romance.

Gosh what library is that - I can't imagine only have 7 books to choose from!
My problem is that I often get over excited and put too many books on hold or into my cart. Then I get to the checkout and have to remove some.
It's often a balancing act for me to decide what to borrow as I try not to borrow my full entitlement so that there is room for a title to come off hold. I always have at least 4 or 5 books on hold. I don't worry about the number on the wait list as you get to the top eventually.
You only get 3 days to borrow it before the hold goes to the next person so sometimes I need to read quickly or return something unread if a more popular title becomes available.
I return stuff as soon as I'm done with it (sometimes even the same day) so that I can borrow more.

I downloaded an audiobook from the library and opened it with Windows Media Player and it doesn't show up on the playlist. Any ideas???

I haven't used library audiobooks in ages, but I believe you have to manage it (play, transfer to device) through the Overdrive media console.

No, each library system has separate selections to choose from. You can only check out books from libraries you belong to.

How can they call it a Federated system if you are stuck with books in a tri county area???
