Russian text to mobi

Hi. I want to convert to .mobi the Tolstoy book found at this website:

http://az.lib.ru/t/tolstoj_lew_nikol...ext_0010.shtml

It's a text file wrapped in a <pre> tag of an html. I put the html into Calibre and get a long line of text without paragraphs. I played with the input options a bit and didn't have any luck. Are there any settings that will let me preserve the paragraph structure? Thanks.

You will probably want to enble the heuristic processing option. For most cases the default settings for heuristic processing make sense, but you can tweak this if it is neede.

Since I am trying to learn Russian and make eBooks I have tried to kill two birds with one stone and have uploaded "Childhood" in its original language here:

Okay, I got it to work. The problem was the with file having the extension .html. When I changed it .txt (or just cut and pasted the appropriate text to a text file) Calibre was able to convert it correctly.

Спасибо! Did you make it yourself from the lib.ru file, or do you know of a better source of Russian ebooks than I do?

Pasted each chapter into Sigil and converted to Mobi with Calibre.

The phrase "добро пожаловать" is used when you are welcoming someone to a location or event. "Добро пожаловать в Россию." - "Welcome to Russia."
