Arctic Fever, by Bruce Barcott, is free in the Kindle store. This isn't marked as a Single, but from the length and publisher (OnEarth Magazine), it appears that it is quite similar to this classification. Most likely, it's a feature article length piece.

The size is already filled in for this one, 874K, but that may include images, as I suspect this will be a fairly small volume, meant to whet your appetite for her upcoming novels, Christmas in Lucky Harbor: Simply Irresistible/The Sweetest Thing and Head Over Heels (both $7.99 pre-orders). For a buck, though, it's hard to go wrong, so I've already added it to my pre-order pile.

Amazon has the Kindle edition of Thru the Bible 1-5, by J. Vernon McGee, a five volume set, currently marked down to $6.99. The list price is $90 and the Hardcover is selling for nearly $120. This isn't a small book, either, weighing in at over 12 MB in size. The description has obviously been copied from the Hardcover edition and there is some confusion as to whether there are five or 60 volumes in total, but this appears to be the "complete" set of commentaries (although it doesn't appear to contain the index to the set, which is sold separately in Hardcover)..

The second book in the trilogy, The Gift, is slated for release on April 30, but there is no Kindle edition yet available for pre-order (only paperback).
