Hi From Upstate New York

Found this site while trying to get info to setup my new NookColor that arrived today. The darn thing won't connect to my Linksys home router and "Peggy" in B&N customer service was absolutely no help.

It appears I need to go to a BN store and complete the setup. That's a 90 mile round trip just to set this up and register.

If you live in a rural area like me, it can be very frustrating with the wifi stuff.

My laptop recognized my router immediately but the NC won't. After reading a thread with similar problems, it seems the NC isn't exactly a PnP device.

Meanwhile, waiting for the temp here to get above 40 today...

Good to have your company, Bob, but sorry to hear of your problem. Why not try posting in the Nook-dedicated sub forum here to see if someone can offer you some sound advice that might save you a ninety-mile trip? Good luck and best wishes. Beil

Thanks, gentlemen, for a warm welcome. I did post the "problem" over in the nook forum and it's been resolved. A matter of semantics and my amateur status with wifi stuff.
