Ahn, don't you worry. Throw that guilt away. You're only young once. Enjoy it. Go out and have fun. That's what I did, and have no regrets at all.

Hey hey hey! Yesterday, we both lost another pound ...

AND WE RAN A MILE!!!!!
(Not in one continuous run, but we did 3 1/2 miles on the track, and totalled a mile running.)

I am sooooo sore, but very proud.

And blood sugar was a fabulous 91 this morning!

Congratulations on the mile!

(And sorry to be dismally rational, but day-to-day weight fluctuations of a pound mean nothing.)

The hell you say! That pound was hard. We dieted through a plateau that lasted over a month. Now lost 2 pounds each in the past week, after losing none since January.

We started our weight loss challenge at work with Weight Watchers. They're paying for half of the Weight Watchers fee for 13 weeks so I'll be participating.

This daily weighing routine is pretty interesting. I gain some weight for 3 days, and then drop weight the next 4 days And it's like that every week! But the overall evolution is definitely weight loss Lost 1.5 kilo in 3 weeks!

Good for you! I also try to weigh daily, and there's certainly significant variation day-to-day. I haven't managed a get downward trend for a few weeks though. And I know why too! I'll do better from today.

Sigh. Only four kilos to go, but they seem to be the hardest. I've been pretty much static over the past four months.

At least I haven't gained. I think just a bit more application (in terms of not snacking when I'm reading!) will do it.

I'll try to report back in a month to say how I've done.

Snacking was where I had to start, because for me that's where all my excuses began and spread from. Similar to you, I am 3-4kg away from where I want to be. I've had plateauing occur, but if I look real close at what I've been eating and doing, I can usually find where I've stretched my initial parameters, and then I try to ratchet that back to where it was.

Not far though, pdurrant. 4kg is not far at all. We'll get there.

Cheers,
Marc

The last couple of kilo's are the hardest. And it's also really hard to stop snacking once you've made it a habit again. Good luck, you'll get there in the end!

I'd like to lose another 5 kg at least (8.5kg down so far), and I'll probably set a new goal once I've reached this one.

We are having a tough time staying the course right now. All of our food is either restaurant or sandwiches, none of which are conducive to weight loss. And I don't want to buy a new scale or tape measure until we find a new home, due to not having any place to put it now.

But, I did have my 3 month endocrinology appt the other day, and I had lost 30 lbs, reduced my insulin dose from 300 to 180 units per day, and ....

MY A1c IS DOWN TO 7.1!!!! (Normal is 7)

You guys, we have got to keep our momentum going! We can do it!

It is very hard when you can't prepare your own food. But that all sounded like good news on the weight and health front. Congratulations.
