Cats that I know will pee in a spot where you have cleaned with amonia. Mr M doesn't care about the smell. He doesn't care about any smell except onions and that means beef stew which means beef for him. The only thing he hates is the vacuum cleaner and being squirted!

It seems that, at least the local, computer shops think desktop PCs are only for gamers.
My power and HDD LEDs are hidden behind a largely useless door, and are so dim that all pretty blue lights all over the case would wash them out in any case.

On more than one occasion I've considered drastically modifying the case by extinguishing the blue lights and ripping off the door. But that would make the thing even uglier!

The folks around here believe that cats don't like the reflections of light through plastic soda bottles so to keep their gardens and outside house walls beautiful, they line them with dozens of water-filled bottles. I can't imagine ANYTHING a cat could do that would make things look uglier...

Marks right.

I didn't know what time the dogs came around in the morning but the tightly tied trash bags were in the sun. By the time that the dogs would have bit into them their sensitive noses would have gotten a blast of ammonium fumes up the snoot.

It was VERY effective and I doubt that it would have done permanent damage as it would have been just to vapors and not the actual liquid that got them.

I'm with you here, Betty. My neighbor lady (the ones whose grandkids treat my backyard as an extension of hers, with our permission), is a nut about her driveway being clean. So, after she mows her yard (which she does at oh-dark-thirty while I'm SLEEPING), she takes her leaf blower to the driveway to blow off the grass clippings. Oh, did I mention that her driveway is all of about SIX INCHES from my bedroom windows?

I love my neighbor lady, except for this and her snowblower. She does know we work second shift and therefore sleep late, but... lifetime habits (hers), are I guess hard to break.

You should have found something truly rotten smelling they could have taken back home as well, something that would have stuck to their coat and required a bath or two to remove. It sounds like their owner is in just as much need of being educated as the dogs themselves.

Mothballs can work too. When I see neighbors walking their dogs and not picking up after them in my yard, I'll lay out a line of mothballs along the curb in the grass. Dogs will sniff & move on to the next yard.

Thanks for the tip! I never knew that. But i probably wont use it, on second thought, because Tim kinda likes the neighbor's dalmations and pets/plays with them. I wonder why they always jump their fence and come here?

Don't say the R word! We have done a lot of yardwork this week, and i always get rake duty. My hands are swollen and sore, with big busted blisters. But the front yard is finished.

That works very well for keeping squirrels (or raccoons) out of attics, skunks from going under your house, and as a bonus, even keeps away moths!
