Happy Thursday, one and all! Another sunny day, but I think last night's moon chased away Spring! It's only 5 degrees outside!

.It was 24 degrees just the other day. Oh well, I'm confident that Spring is just waiting for me...

Ahmad's English Breakfast tea this morning, along side a bowl of hummus, Kalamata olives, and the remains of my bad bread... which actually works for this because it almost tastes like pita.

Nilgiri is actually an Indian tea, but from the very south of India, near Sri Lanka. Close enough so I mistook it for a Ceylon variety.

Tea order arrived today. Tonight was my first time trying Fujian oolong. My oolong experience leads me to believe that the taste for a specific tea is acquired over time. This particular one may take a bit of acquiring. Happy I am to have my old standby teas waiting in the wings.

The thing is, if I had seen this guy in a bar I probably wouldn't have hesitated and just go talk to him. But I'd probably have a friend with me for back-up. And If you meet someone in a bar who then turns out to be a complete moron, you can just say 'nice to have met you' and walk away. I don't think you can do that on a train ... At least not without coming accross as being incredibly rude.

But it is getting kind of ridiculous. I can see he's interested. He can see I'm interested (or I think he can see it). Just keep encouraging me, and I'm sure I'll find the courage soon

Public transport is still a mess this morning, it took me 3 hours to get to work. I'm having a Nespresso to get my brain started while I prepare for the first meeting of the day.

I have had two cups of Taylors of Harrogate's Tea Room Blend.
I brew it differently now.
They suggest one tea spoon, 4-5 minutes for a cuppa. How big is their cup? 150ml? 200? 250? 300?
No clue.

My cup is 330 ml, so I do the following: a heaped tea spoon (the tea looks like very small pellets, so one heaped tea spoon is a lot of tea), 1 minute 30 seconds, 0.8 of the cup.
It is the best flavour I could coax out of this tea with unfiltered office water.
I tried 1 heaped tea spoon 2/4/5 minutes; 1 level tea spoon 2/3/4/5 minutes.
I might try again 1 level tea spoon 1 and 5 minutes tomorrow or next week.

Finished my brunch. It was very generous today. Two white yogurts, 1 banana and 2 Sirius Musli Bars. I always have the same excluding banana

Off to town to grab lunch before I prepare the next lab for Cisco classes.
