It really annoys me the way they handled this and it certainly isn't your fault.
That being said, I really like the ESV Study Bible. I think its the best Study Bible out there when it comes to commentary. I have both the Hard Cover and the Kindle version. The Net Bible has more extensive notes, but they are much more translation oriented rather than theological explanations. The ESV Study Bible has been very helpful to me in my Bible Study class...........we are currently studying Hebrews which is a little more difficult for me than Paul's other epistles...........although the ESV points out that Paul may not have actually written it. It amazes me the trouble that Big Shot publishers have pushing an update, but I guess its because they are more paranoid about their proprietary code, more so they they are concerned with customer service. So you have used the "new" version and it does searches? |

As to your other point. Yes, if you get the updated file from me through an email, Amazon will not recognize it as their file and will not allow all the features you mention. But I just don't know how to offer people updated files through Amazon. Somebody told me months ago that what they did was to call Amazon and describe the situation. Amazon reversed the initial transaction and refunded the money and the person was able to buy the new updated file afresh. If you don't do it, Amazon will not let you buy you something that you have already purchased even if it is a new version of the file. |

Wow. I stumbled upon this review on youtube. It showcases OSNOVA publications. I have been thinking about making videos for OSNOVA publications for some time now but haven't had time.

After sleeping on it, I guess you are right. Plus, I was told I ramble on and on without focus. I'll have to redo the videos.

I agree. Just do a remake after you change the info on your K3 to get rid of any personal info.
A couple of notes for you. The 2nd video shows a couple of things that can be done different ways: 1) for the ALT Q-P numbers, you can either press and hold ALT to enter more than one number at a time, or you can press ALT and release, and then press Q-P to get a single number (for instance if trying to do this single-handedly.) 2) Using DVJ-2, there is no need to press the down arrow to select the top choice. Simply hit the enter key (center of the 5-way) to navigate directly to the top choice on the list. Great tutorial videos. Looking forward to more! Note to Amazon: if you're going to leave off the number keys but provide an alternative way to get them (like the K3), please print the numbers in a different color over the appropriate letters to make it easier to reference. Maybe rename the ALT key to FUNC and color that yellow and put yellow numbers over the appropriate letters like handheld calculators. BTW, does the ALT key serve any other function on the K3? |

Alt-G "fixes" ghosting.
Alt-Z "refreshes" the k3 if you have added new photos to the picture folder. Alt-shift-g does a screen capture Those are the ones off the top of my head. There may be others. |

Thanks FF2. I'd forgotten some of those. I've never noticed any ghosting.

Go here to get the latest ESV with DVJ from Crossway for ZERO dollars for a few days from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Bible-English-...0152201&sr=1-2 I'm not sure if this is from Osnova but one can do a DVJ with spaces instead of dots. Plus, the price is right for the next few days: ZERO DOLLARS. Last edited by sirmaru; 03-14-2011 at 09:24 PM. |

Thanks for the heads-up. I bought that Crossway version in December, but haven't figured out how to make DVJ work on it. It may be the abbreviations. I've tried JN/John 3:16 with various combinations of spaces and periods with no luck.

You have the wrong one !

The price is zero. The other had a real price. I don't understand why Amazon is giving this book away free. It has a chapter describing how to use the DVJ. I don't remember a chapter like that in any of the other Osnova bibles. Also, as one starts typing the abbreviations, all the index at that level appears. This is very nice book. To answer an above question, I like the Message Bible, NIV, and NLT the best. Keep us posted on what you are doing, this is rather nice.
