I used to freeze my beans as well and then someone told me that when you freeze the beans the natural oils that give coffee it's taste are somehow broken down. I never freeze my coffee anymore and to be honest, I can taste the difference now.
Unroasted beans will keep a long long time, I think a year or more. Roasted beans on the other hand start to loose their flavor as soon as they are taken from the roaster. The absolute best coffee I have ever had was coffee roasted and then brewed right from the roaster. Some people, like local coffee here, add margarine to the beans as they roast them to increase the oils in the beans, making the coffee stronger while not as bitter. Personally I don't care for it much because I can taste the margarine as the coffee is brewed. |

![]() A cup of Indian black Sikkim Second Flush Temi TGFOP1. This time I put heaped tea spoon, steeped for 2 minutes, then it took me approximately 20-30 second to remove the strainer, I always dip it up/down 5-6 times. We will see. |

![]() And there's a reason why I'm feelin' so high Must be the season When that love light shines all around us So let that feelin' grab you deep inside And send you reelin' where your love can't hide And then go stealin' Through the summer nights with your lover Just let your love flow like a mountain stream And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams And let your love show And you'll know what I mean, it's the season Goooodddd Morrrnnning, EVERYONE!! I think Spring has sprung! What a glorious day outside. Inside too! I'm starting today with a mug of Taylors of Harrogate's English Breakfast tea and a big bowl of really spicy chill! Hell of a combination, and hell of a breakfast, but sure tastes good, is non-fattening, and zero cholesterol! That sounds pretty good! ![]() Quote:
