Atlas Shrugged. I can't find the price though. I think I paid something like $13 for it, but the price currently listed on Sony's store is $18.99.

I also bought Make:Electronics on sale for $9.99. I don't think I would have paid the $28 for it on non-sale. Oddly, I think if I'd been in the position to, I would have pad the $38 for the print + ebook.

$15 for the E-ARC of Cryoburn by Lois McMaster Bujold (Baen).

Other than that, I've bought relatively few ebooks at relatively low prices, partly because I refuse to endorse and fund DRM when there are alternatives available.

Wow, some of those are pretty pricey. I just spent $5 for Girl in the Dragon Tatoo, everything else has been less than that...a lot of indie authors and specials.

Hmm... ghostyjack's £20 for Lord of the Rings notwithstanding, I think you are going to win the prize :-)

I should note that I don't condone ridiculous pricing for books, e- or p-. I only paid 17USD because there was a 100% rebate.

I also should correct my previous post: it was A Most Wanted Man, not The Mission Song, and it was merely okay.

The entire Lord of the Rings collection for like $20 when it first came out in ebook form. If I brought them one at a time it would have been $10 each.

Well my most expensive books have to be some of my old, out of print novels that I paid to have scanned and then spent HOURS correcting OCR errors.

Monetarily they probably cost me about $40 a book to have scanned- and then probably another 5 to 10 hours each proofreading. Heck, I'm still not done with some of them.

Well I haven't bought it but saw this on The Digital Reader (Nates blog I think) Worlds most expensive ebook now on sale.

If anyone admits to buying this, then I think they will take the prize.

That was mine, too. I also got the e-arc of Miller and Lee's Saltation at the same price. I haven't paid above $15.00 for an e-book, and those I do buy at that price are those which rate a buy-immediately-in-hardcover under my old ranking scheme (and some of those I still buy in hardcover as well).

The $32 book is still my record, but I'm now looking seriously at this little $28 number from SUNY Press.

Grrr.
