they are calling this the 5th biggest quake since 1900 for Japan

we now also have a tsunami warning projected for 0730

aftershocks of 7 and better are still going on in japan

well our tsunami threat seems to be pretty much a non-event, waves of under 3 feet

for all of you that are lurking in the area, even if you have never posted before, please chime in and let us know how you are.

wow! this happened pretty much during the evening rush hour in japan. all sorts of people are unable to get home in Tokyo

dad's saying the tsunami will hit taiwan first before us, so we should get an idea of what's coming and how strong. all the fishermen in the province and people in the coastal areas are already being moved up by the army and police.

i sure hope my teacher is okay. i emailed her though i doubt she'd get it due to the disaster. she's in tokyo too and pretty elderly. i hope she and her husband are fine.

quite possibly. some of the images of the tsunami spreading across agriculture land and into houses/factories/greenhouses are shocking.
