On some boards, I'll add my real picture to user profile, but I generally prefer to use one of my cats or a very accurate, Mad Men-esque cartoon avatar. On sites where my privacy isn't a concern, I still don't want to keep encountering my visage repeatedly through threads.

Where privacy is a concern, I have actually created a whole other online persona or two, a pen name or nom du guerre as the case may be. Probably because my real name is quite distinctive, public, and my entire career seems to pop up on the first page of any google search! Ah yes, journalism, publishing, and the dot-com world were not conducive to privacy.

That's what we say about he tomcat thats managed to impregnate all the neighborhood cats, there have been a bunch of black cats around, maybe 10 or 15 all pure black, I didn't know that was possible really.

She was over last month for the kindle shoot. Wonderful model, fabulous model, but difficult? She could give Naiomi lessons!

Actualy that's my little girl Holly. She's 15 and has been draping herself on ebook reader for 10 years now. She preferred the Rocket/Reb1100/1150, it was warmer and just the right height and thickness to prop her head up over the top and stare at me while I was reading.

That is a very good-looking kittie. Could be my Polly's sister. It looks quite cozy, having her draped around your ereader.

Polly sure gets around: this week she visited the pizzeria on the corner too often and was sick for three days; didn't eat a bite. She recovered

I guess I just picked an Avatar since that's what most other people seemed to be using. At this point with so many people using stock photos, there's no way to tell if it's really that person anyway.

Well she looks good on it. Mine ("Brick", the one that looks like Holly) is only 4 months old, so she has a bit of catching up to do...
