Author info from Kindle file

Is it possible to get the LN, FN data from the Kindle .azw file imported into Calibre as FN LN in the Author field (not the Author_sort field)? I've seen a number of threads on getting the author name written back to the Kindle, and getting it from the file name, but have not seen anything on getting it directly from the Kindle and switching the order.

I've spent quite a lot of time looking through items in the Calibre Preferences options with no success.

What happens when you right click on a book in Kindle's device view while attached to calibre and add the book to calibre's library?

No idea. I download the books to my computer and then load them into Calibre. I left that out of my original post, sorry.

I'll give it a try and see what happens, just for info purposes.

OK. It gets copied into the Calibre library with the metadata:

Author: Addams, Charles
Author Sort: Addams, Charles

What I want it to be is:

Author: Charles Addams
Author Sort: Addams, Charles

Alternatively, I would accept a way to batch change all my existing Authors from FN LN to LN, FN. I don't care which.

You can use the search and replace feature to change them in bulk, do a search there a threads explaining in detail how to do just that.
