The only place that I can see that TV being a good idea is if you have it hanging on a wall where it will sit flatter than a picture frame. I have this one sitting on a mid century modern dresser. The TV looks just as good off as when it's on. I wish I could buy that gorgeous stand separately and use it with my other TV's. However, I would not recommend it for anyone w/ kids, unless they mounted it flat onto a wall.

I agree with you about 7 inches being better for carrying around. I figure that would be about the size of the Kindle 3.

It seems to me that, given the wieght and thickness reductions on the iPad 2, a seven inch iPad is a kind of natural progression in the iPad universe. Happened with the iPod.

It would feel solid because it has an aluminum body, and the thinness would remind me of my Sony Readers. I'd want it for textbooks, so any weight would be less than those. I have a softcover textbook that breaks up the reg. hardcover into 2 parts. Just one half is 3.5 lbs and it's lack of hardcover make it very flimsy to try and hold. Every time I pick it up I wish I had a tablet.

I'd bet that apple won't come out with a 7" tablet, they will make one slightly different so they can claim they addressed what made 7" doa in that idiotic earlier proclamation, the closest paper size works out to just over that size so perhaps they will do a 7.2" and declare it works because it is using a6 paper size.

More like hacked iTunes accounts. My wife thought she'd try out iTunes this year and started with an Enya album. A short time later she was called by the bank because of a series of suspicious iTunes and Netflix purchases - someone had been using her credit card on the net.

Never had credit details stolen before! I ran literally over 20 different types of malware scans on both computers, wondering how on Earth it happened, and couldn't find anything after days & days of continuous scanning. Then we found out from the BBC that iTunes hadn't properly protected thousands of people's account details. Gah...!

You'd think they'd apologise to each customer affected by their negligence or something, but ... nothing. Not a good first experience.

I just want a Galaxy Tab, done by Apple. The Tab feels cheap, and cost more than I think it should, and besides, I want to stay in the Apple ecosystem.

Price will be the issue. Apple's smart move was to have a $499 iPad. Will the Playbook cost less?

It's going to be great to see what the 7" Honeycomb tablets are capable of and their price of course.

24" wheels on a pushbike, what a mistake. Give me 18" any time. What was Malvern Star thinking

OK. . . . . . Can't really see how a USB port would make much of a difference when the only cable that comes with it has a USB plug on the end of it.

Tubie, We get it mate. It's not the tablet for you. Do you think it might be the tablet for some of the rest of us?

Apple have said they want their products to be available to everyone, not just those with more money and that's why they are doing an iPhone Nano - A cheaper cut down version of the iPhone.

Once all the other companys have released their tablets and believe they have caught up with the iPad, Apple will release an iPad Nano

Being cheaper they will undercut the competition and move ahead again in market share.

There have certainly been plenty of rumours, but Apple have not said that they are going to make an iPhone Nano.

I have a 7" Android tablet (Nook Color) and I just love the size. I wouldn't want anything larger. I'm sure a 7" iPad would sell very well.
