I personally think that an avatar or someone other than the person is deceitful, unless you happen to be better looking than the avatar, then it's ok.

Maybe it's time I changed mine to my own picture, it'll keep the private messages from women to a minimum

oh I did appreciate it! my skiing one that I normally wear IS me. and I have always been very candid when I have worn something that isn't me (Christmas elf anyone?)
