I felt that way the first time I saw it, but then told myself (I can be kind of naive about mean people) that surely there were two people there, one holding the camera and the other scrambling for the switch and then the cat. at least in my tiny little brain, that's what I hope for

People can be pretty cruel. I don't know if you've been unfortunate enough to see that video of a soldier throwing a puppy off a cliff, but I doubt seriously there was a safety net waiting below. The only good thing to come out of that is that I understand the military was investigating the matter. I don't know the final outcome of the investigation.

I wonder, too, about the parents of the toddler who was pulling on a cat's tail until it let loose with a barrage of smacks to the kid's head. The kid finally turns toward the person handling the camcorder and it's plain from his face that he's about to cry. What did the person behind the camera think would happen? And why did he/she not stop when the cat attacked? That toddler could have lost an eye! What are people thinking? Is taking the chance of winning $10,000 on AFV really worth it?
