who knows. I don't think so. There is a moment in which parents have to step back and give them room and the chances to go through their mistakes and get few scars, hopefully just scratches. I know that my role is of course to guide with example, but most of all to be there and give love and comfort. We just want them to be happy. Happy as a child.

You comments about being left only with paper and a pencil after the fire; it's called 'minimalistic living'.
The more we have, the more we are burdened with 'things'.
Unfortunately I always seem to acquaire more 'things'.

Yeah. The money is nothing, is the "things" that put us in trouble. On the work side I am more or less back to paper and pencil. It is the fun and games on MR and other similaria that call for gadgets.

that's exactly what I always tell my sister when she says her daughter is cute now I'm telling another happy parent, beppe, enjoy the time when she's small and naive! When she's into her teens I suppose time would be much harder

Well, I'm neither kind nor wise. Just draw it from my experience. Dad and mom definitely have a harsh time when I'm in my teens (which is, in my case, now.) Poor parents. They've been putting up with every kind of rap and nu metal and block busters and my arguments at school and that I hate some specific teachers and... I admire all parents who bring up their kids without ever complaining.
