ah. I see. I go to sleep at 3am so it's not too bad anyway. but hey, I can no longer sleep til noon, I have several classes in the morning started in some weeks.

hmmm i know the lounge isn't for ebook topics, but i didn't want to post this in the other parts of the forum as i was afraid of snarky replies.

I blast books that are grammatically compromised when I am reviewing at amazon. a few errors are one thing, but when things are so bad it is just like my tongue seeking out the hole in my jaw after a tooth has been removed, I have to say something about it. these are professional authors that are presumably working with professional editors. it is fair and reasonable to expect that attention to their craft includes ensuring that the words woven together are following the grammatical rules. when I install a telephone system I don't leave cables hanging from the ceiling and expect the customer to ignore them, because after all, they have dial tone and that is what a telephone system is all about, right? no! I make certain that everything is neatly installed in accordance with industry standards. I am a telecommunications professional, that is what is expected, and there is no reason that my customer should have to put up with a sub-standard installation because it doesn't really affect the overall performance of the device.

Can't quote extensively since I'm typing on my iPod touch but well, I certainly understand hating being a girl sometimes. My mom always used to restrict me from doing certain stuff because I wasn't a boy. And the non-entity thing came from the thought that I couldn't find anything good from being human, maybe. And the gay guy thing came from a certain curiosity about how it feels like to, you know. And sometimes my parents talk of love in a marriage as an afterthought only. Oh, they do think it's important but apparently it comes after the qualifications that the guy must be Chinese, of a certain age range and has an acceptable job. I'm just tired of it.
