Tubemonkey,

Kind of sad and not funny your joke about Jobs and cancer.

Even though when I don't like his marketing strategies (and ironically bought an iPad to my PDFs and Magazines) cancer is a really sad sickness. I've lost some family members because that, hope you never have to feel and see that yourself, any cancer joke will stop being funny then...

I really hope and wait for his full recovery ...

His full recovery is not coming. I do believe he's on his way out this time. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all cancers.

I would wait as its supposed to be lighter and thinner. Even with the same specs it would be better than the current one. I didn't buy an Ipad as I felt it was to heavy I was tempted despite the fact that I avoid apple as much as possible.
Now I think I will go with samsung this year.

Speaking of the iPod touch, I was considering trading mine in for the 4th gen. But my sister told me I might have to pay S$100 so I hesitated. I'm glad I didn't shell out the money and am instead getting a kindle

Oh, is there a trade in program for previous generations? I imagine that mine is probably too old for it... especially since it's already a refurbished unit (plus, I managed to crack the screen... still works fine, so not a big deal). If I remember correctly, I paid around $100-$150 for my 2nd generation, so there is quite a bit of sticker shock over the price of a 4th generation. It's not like I *need* a new one--I just think it'd be nice to have the camera, especially if it gets an upgrade in the next generation--so I'm willing to wait either for the price to drop or for a non-phone, non-3G Android device to come out.

My sister told me a friend of hers got a trade in in Singapore. Mine was practically new as it was a gift from a relative just a few months before the fourth gen came out. That's why I was considering it. But I read that the camera wasn't too good and no flash for the cam

It's a sub 1MP cam, no flash, no auto focus. Apple made the case too thin to allow it to use the better and thicker cam found in the iPhone 4; so they had to put in a cheaper cam.

The biggest problem with this cam in my opinion is the lack of auto focus. Because that feature is missing, Google Goggles can't be loaded. Lame!

The iPod Touch goes for $224, the iPhone 4 is $600 --- it's not surprising the iTouch has lesser features, it's surprising that it's able to be sold for just over $200 to begin with.

And yes, to the person who JUST bought an iPad. Take it back. Get the new one a month from now.
