UPDATE -use dill unless you don't like dill. And then add some of the other things you'll see on the internet AFTER you've made the basic recipe. Another ingredient that I just remember seeing was a substitution of cheddar cheese for feta cheese. Please don't do that. An "Authentic Spanakopita" recipe may not exist but cheddar cheese is not a good substitution for spinach pie/Spanakopita. Try my recipe or KK's recipe (hopefully she'll put it up). |

The salad is chicory, without seasoning, not even salt. That chicory is almost wild and is common for the whole winter, it is enough some sort of shelter. It is bitter and crisp. Very very pleasant. It exists in a green and in a red variety. It is best with boiled eggs. I do not use eggs really, so it's an Hamburger steak. Without gravy. But, I just remembered that in Quebec they use a tea gravy! Next time. It goes on the line of bread pudding and the like, just to stretch the week, the fortnight, the month, the season, the year, life. Stretch, stretch, ... Lucky me, lucky us. |

I did a little research on the wonderful chicory. The official name is "Ceriolo" Here it is in the green variety. I could not find a picture of the red one. It originates from around here, but seed providers carry it. |

really, I can't understand why you guys can make cake with vegetable :| it sounds kind of weird to me. a good ordinary cake should include butter, cream, chocolate, jam, cherry... all but vegetable :|

We do also cakes that have a salty flavor rather than sweet, or a mix of sweet and salty, and we put all sort of good things in it. Like cheese, creamy and sort of puffy. than you put strawberries on top and you get NY cheese cake, or something else inside and ... there you are. Like the famous Tourtiere. It is an apple pie but instead of the apples you put minced meast cooked with spices, and pass it in the oven. Good, so good | |

I've had cakes that were made from zucchini that were pretty good. I've also seen recipes for cake using sauerkraut but I haven't tried it. |

But I did not like my clams so I ditched them and I made a lox chowder. The green stuff is dill. the champagne is in honor of desertblues that has a song for her also Wife enjoyed both the chowder and the bubbles. Me too One cannot always cry in Virtue. |

come over than, with your hubby, the bottles are not scarce and we all could dance happily to some nice tunes, swing, slow waltz, even beguines. The thing I prefer in life, but absolutely, is dancing and dining, and have good time.
