Yup, abu sayyaf, the filipino al qaeda is there. When I visited there was armed guards in front of most buildings. My Mom says that when she was growing up there was lots of open space and flowers. Now everything is fenced and walled in. Manila can seem worse, though, because of the places where there are shanties next to highrises.
I have cousins in Zamboanga and Manila. The English of my cousins in Zamboanga is pretty terrible, not that I'm complaining because at least they can speak it. But it takes ten minutes just to greet each other. My cousins from Manila speak perfect English. In fact, on the phone people know they are not from the United States because their English is too perfect. They enunciate every syllable, and I don't know anyone in the U.S. that does that. I slur words, overenunciate, eat my words, mumble the end of my sentences, and butcher pronunciations altogether. And I graduated from College with Honors! It's a sad state of affairs in American education when you can tell someone isn't from the United States because they speak American English too well. Am I off topic? |

Hey Grimm maybe Giggleton is a top secret agent and that is why he can't tell you what he does. Or maybe he's a Russian spy (could giggleton be a she? giggleton is a gender neutral name, right?) It all makes sense now. Of course a spy would want all information to be freely available. Makes his job a lot easier.

That's exactly what he wants you to think. Don't you know that the stealthy spy is a stereotype perpetrated by real spies so that you would never suspect them. Look at Anna Chapman, the foxy redheaded Russian spy. (I had to google Russian Spy and I love how her name is one of the first entries that comes up) She had her own facebook page and was a regular party animal.

I learned more about language in general from studying Spanish than from English classes. Before I took Spanish I had never heard of a conjugation before.

indeed O: the english classes i had are a vague memory. i learned more about english from reading books and archie comics at a very young age. i used to read out loud too. my classmates were horrible at english though. but young couples nowadays raise their kids speaking english so much so that sometimes, there is a bad perception of such people. i mean...like, they feel they're too good to speak the local language and they just HAVE to speak english.

Instead of executing Anna Chapman, the U.S. government settled for naked pictures of her. For the good of the country of course.
