Publishing in Color?

Searched on publishing and color and found nothing. So please share with me. Do you use color in your eBooks?

Thanks
Peace and Blessings

Welcome to mobileread, Rylos07. Make sure you check out the Writer's Corner forum, since many of your questions seem to be aimed at other writers and self-publishing. I've asked the mod-squad to move this post to that forum so you'll receive better answers.

Excellent. Was not sure where this should go. That is a much better place. Thanks!

I'm not a publisher, or a writer. But when reading E-books I like the front cover to be a colour picture even thought most E-readers don't use colour E-ink, the technology is around. It is also rumored that the new kindle this year will be colour.

if the new Kindle is colour then it's not going to be color. So what will it be as it won't be color or B&W/gray scale?

But seriously, if there is a color Kindle coming, will it still be eink color or will it be LCD color?

If you do have graphics/photos that are in color, let them stay in color. You don't know if the device the eBook will be displayed will be color or not. But just don't add in color just because the eBook might be displayed on a color device.

Nope. Not adding just because. But these are children's books that will be in PDF to start and people will be allowed to print. But I also want to set them for potential formats/displays of current and Future ereaders.

Thanks guys!

OK OK I will say color instead of colour. In Canada we spell it colour but still pronounce it color so I'm not sure why it's spelled different, as we still speak english.
