I think the loo at the police station is exactly where they would like you to shoot up, close to the doughnuts and squad room, makes arrests easier

There were donuts?

All I saw was a drink machine.

A chap elsewhere is a police office in Atlanta, GA. He wrote a post a while back about something like that. He'd injured himself and was on desk duty while he recovered. A guy called the police looking for protection. He'd apparently tried to rob a store, and the store people resisted, foiled the attempt, and were after him with blood in their eye.

He just said "Yes, sir. Come right down to the station. We'll take care of you!". When the guy walked in, he was was cuffed and booked, and held for trial. It was the first instance anyone on the force knew of where the arrest had been made by a seated officer in the station.

(It was also one more data point supporting the notions that most criminals are profoundly stupid.)

Nikita, one of our cats is having one of her throw-up days again. Just found out that sometime this night she threw up in one shoe of one of favorite pairs. The inside sole is one of those absorbent ones and it had absorbed most of the sick already. Seems like have to go shopping for new shoes next week, I hate shopping for shoes.

My kitty threw up in one of my shoes the other day -- but it was my Crocs. I just rinsed it clean and was very glad she didn't do it in my boots!

Throw-up days, huh? Are you sure she doesn't have a food allergy or something?

Poor kitty. And poor you, I hate shoe shopping too. I hope you find something nice.

This is something all indoor cat families have to endure. Cat's will eat grass to make themselves throw up, just to eliminate various things that won't easily pass through their digestive systems, fur being the most common. Most pet shops sell oat seeds to plant, or even pre-grown oat grass in small containers for cats. It's just part of cat physiology, and nothing to be alarmed about. Folks who have outdoor cats usually don't notice this behavior.

Cat's will do this fairly often, depending upon their eating habits. We brush our cat every day to reduce the need, but she will still leave little puddles once a week or so.

Nikita's stomach is easily upset. Tonight she got wetfood she didn't like but a couple of hours later she wolfed it down anyway.

Don't know if she threw up before or after eating, but she throws up either because she's stressed (being hungry or getting something she doesn't like) or because she ate too fast.

Lexie is so much easier, every once in a while a hairball and that's it.

Occasional vomiting is normal, especially if it's a cat that gets hairballs. Frequent vomiting is not normal, and is often caused by a food allergy, which are surprisingly common. Stress or anxiety is a big one for some cats, too, as Rumpelteazer explained for her girl. Once a week is at the upper end of normal. More than that, or repeated episodes of vomiting in a short time, are not normal for most cats.

Poor Nikita, that's no fun. Have you tried giving her little bits of food at a time so she can't eat it all so fast? Cats are goofy critters, I can never figure out if I love mine because or despite that.

What our cat does: she wolfs down a mouse, neatly dived in head, 1/2 body with two legs, 1/2 body with two arms and a tail. And then she comes inside and throws it all up on my windowsill....arghhhhhh

Awww.... isn't that sweet!

Hey, at least it's not in your shoe. Today Felicity was climbing her indoor 'tree' while making her gagging actions. She didn't want to stop playing on the tree to come down to floor level just to heave. Then she looked at me like "I" was crazy for even suggesting it!
