My hair is naturally curly (which I hate), so I have to blowdry and then use my straighting iron to get it to look decent. That alone takes 15 minutes
Up until about two weeks ago, I had a great haircut, very little maintenance, maybe just pass a curling iron at my bangs real fast and out the door. However, now it's grown out to unmanageability so I've been just throwing it into a ponytail and going. I will eventually get a hair appointment and go back and get it fixed. (This is like saying that I will eventually win the lottery for me - finding time for a hair appointment on a day that either I don't work or that doesn't make me get up insanely early for me so I can do it before work happens extremely rarely).

My wife spends every morning 20-30 minutes for make up.
She never leaves the house without it. She does a very light version, but she always does it.

My breakfast takes 30 minutes.
I am very slow. In school my teachers were always angry with me. Their famous scaremongering tactics were:
Quote:
You cannot east so slow!!!!
When you go to the Army, you will have 45 seconds in the morning to dress up, fix the bed and stand still! 45 seconds! When you eat, you finish when your officers finishes. Usually 2 minutes!!!
Sometimes I skip shaving, I don't like shaving, 10 minutes of my time down the drain, almost literally. Although, I do look ugly if I don't shave. My wife says I look like a terrorist if I don't shave. Since I work in college with a lot of people around, I have to maintain some sort of fresh interface and for my wife. She likes it when it is smooth.

In my cup.
Tippy Yunnan. Nice tea. Not mind blowing though. I am going to make a cup of Keemun now in order to compare.

A cup of Keemun.

Either I have got a wrong Keemun, or as I said before it is very similar to Yunnan Imperial and Tippy Yunnan.
Between all three of them, I prefer Keemun because it is stronger.

Smooth, wet-shaved every day, with just a whiff of soap. Lovely.......

In my cup: hot Arabica-coffee; freshly made after dinner (sandwiches roquefort + white wine).

Lesson 1 on how to burn soup. Leave a bit of soup in a pan on the stove. Accidentally turn the stove on. Smell something burning and think: hmmm, something must be stuck underneath one of my pans. Start to get suspicous when there's smoke coming out of the pan that's supposed to be on a cold stove. Open all windows.

Oh boy ... I just hope my pan will survive.

I'm leaving it to soak while I go soak in a hot steaming bath with a glass of white wine and a good book

Now I get to sing this song:

Desertblues might know it.

No, I don't know it, but it is a very 'wrong' song.
Before you take a bath: put a few spoonfuls of soda ash (soda) in you pan and fill it half with water. Let it boil lightly for half an hour. Then let the pan soak all night in this sodawater and; tomorrow morning: all blackness on the bottom of the pan will have loosened itself. Really.

A cup of Yunnan Imperial.

I think Tippy Yunnan is a bit more pleasant. Otherwise, not so different from Keemun.

Call me confused.

When I left my home and my family, I was no more than a boy
In the company of strangers.....
In the quiet of the railway station, runnin' scared
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters, where the ragged people go
Looking for the places only they would know

Happy Sunday, everyone! It's a glorious day out today... a bit later than usual for me, but that's OK. After breakfast I think we'll go for a ride. Still snow up in the mountains around Kyoto, but perhaps we'll ride up to the snow line anyway.

Right now, a cup of Keemun tea to start me off, along with some Norwegian crisp bread and humus!

Dear Confused,
I think all three are really China black teas, and most from the same region. It doesn't surprise me that they taste so similar. I too prefer the stronger taste of the generic keemun tea. While the Yunann Imperial from NBT was very good, my generic keemun does have a stronger flavor that I prefer along with foods... Hmmm.... I guess that last part is important... "along with foods".... Strong tasting foods, such as the garlic crisp bread and humus that I'm eating right now, would overshadow a weaker tea. China Black can stand up to it well though. I doubt the 'Georgian Old Gentelman' would.

But I've now finished that keemun and my breakfast. I think for my second cup it shall be... Ahmad English Breakfast tea! Yes... That should do well!

He and I share a lot. We both left home at 17.

I'm getting ready to explore the last of the NBT black teas that I ordered; it's the Ceylon Dimbula. It's steeping as I type.

Thanks, that worked like a charm I did have to go to the neighbours to get some soda, and when I told them why I needed it they couldn't stop laughing

(I'll give you some karma for this, but I have to 'spread it around' first)

I'll say it again: how I envy you males! But then again, I really like a trip to the hairdresser. They always give me a head massage when they're washing my hair.

Double cappuccino, I woke up way too early and couldn't sleep anymore So I need the caffein.

No problem there. Have them cut really short, by a good hairdresser of course (it is necessary). I find them very, but very sexy. Both to look and to touch.

And you can have your massage anyhow.
Spoiler:
Once a fashion hairdresser in Milano thought that he could have my gone for good hair back with the application of a thick herbal concoction that he mixed up for me at the moment. I enjoyed the treatment very much. He put me down almost horizontal for a facial and this head stuff, for more than half an hour, very confortable chair, eyes under a towel. From time to time somebody came and adjusted something. Warm wraps, cold wraps. Wet, dry. Soft and tender hands massaging scalp and face. Long silences. Void. Before being washed clean and patted dry, a final, long scalp stimulation with finger tips and some machine also.

I used to get out of there a new something, ... angel, devil, whatever. Went there for about a year, once a month, than tides and winds changed pattern ...

Second mug of gunpowder.
