Bothered by glare

I have a 650 and your clever guys are not so clever. I've sat plenty of times with full light on my 650 without any glare.

Interesting! What is the light source you are talking about and how far from it is 650?

One light source is an overhead light just behind the sofa. I normally sit on the right side and the light is about in the middle. No glare. The sun gives me good light without glare when reading outside. The lamp next to my bed is not bad.

Also if I am sitting on the smaller sofa and the eating area light is on behind, I don't get glare.

I'm not saying it never happens, but it does depend on where the Reader is and where the light is.

Oh, I see what you mean now. I am not saying that one always gets the glare either. But I always get it when the Kindle is oriented so that it directly reflects the light from a point source to my eyes. Clearly, if I take a book or a sheet of paper and orient it in the same way, I get no glare and these orientations are actually the ones that I used to prefer for reading as they lead to a bright and rather evenly distributed light on the reading surface. Nevertheless, I am also always able to find another satisfying position - it is just a bit annoying sometimes.
