With what we pay for the books How about letting us SEE the covers! B/W fine! A bit Darker Bold Print would be nice also. Well How about MORE HD space! Not sure what I going to do when it runs out of room!!

Possibly remove a few of the 3,500 books that you are storing on it to add some new books. Amazon does store your books for you and you would be wise to back them up on your computer at home so you will be able to reload any book that you have removed.

In addition to so many great suggestions above:
1. Ability to organize the Archives - mine are becoming way too unwieldy. 1a. Ability to sort Archives by "Most Recently purchased", so we don't have to hunt through 20 screens to find the latest books bought and sent to another device. 2. Better caulking between the screen and frame. (Stronger and less grooved, to avoid lifting and pet hair intrusions. ![]() 3. A single button for TTS on/off 4. Raise the 5 way's edges so it's easier to use without hitting other buttons. 5. A "Favorites" sub-menu from the main menu, so you can flip between books or documents. ![]() |

1. Font size control for the Home screen.
2. Sub-collections. 3. Improved PDF support (more zoom settings, ...) 4. Customizable screen saver. Options for "Current Book Cover", "My Pictures", "Default", "Personal Info" or "None". The latter would actually be a single image with some very small icon to allow distinction between it and the power off screen. The "My Pictures" option would use all pix in some "blessed" folder such as \Pictures\Screensaver. The "Personal Info" would display the text entered into the Personal Info section in Settings allowing you to have an "If found..." message displayed on a password locked device. Actually, anyone halfway skilled at creating bitmap images can produce the equivalent of all the other options if just an option of a custom picture folder is added. |

Bookshelf view! The covers are sooo beautiful on the e-ink screen, please let me see them!
“Good” PDF support. Kindle v2 was “awful” PDF support. Here at v3.1 we’re all the way up to “poor” PDF support -- that’s progress! ![]() The ability to password-protect all access to the Kindle store (so I can hand my Kindle to friends for an evening and not worry about them inadvertently purchasing half my samples!) I don’t care which formats we use, but I do want Epub’s ability to display images inline instead of just on the next line. So I guess I do care about formats after all... After editing a comment it’d be great if the Kindle could re-flow the text display around it, so that I could see my comments inline instead of hiding them behind an anonymous clickable number. I’d like something akin to bookmarks but that are linked to the 5-way controller, so with a click I can jump between locations that I set. The way certain books have section breaks that you can step through with the 5-way; I want a customizable version of that. A menu item to reset my farthest-read point in a given book. Either to the beginning, or to where I am now. Please! An auto page-turning function so I can use the Kindle hands-free, like while exercising. Maybe while in that mode display a bar in the margin that jumps from top to middle to bottom, so we have an estimate of when the page is going to turn on us (limited to how much you want to refresh the e-ink screen of course). An advanced preference to only do the full screen refresh/flash every few page turns, the way the Chinese Kindle OS “Duokan” does it. The e-ink screen gets a bit dirty after 3 turns or so, but I’d be willing to trade that for the black flash. And of course more font/formatting options. |

I have to agree, about the page, screen, percentage issue. the screen savers don't seem to bother me much, that being said I have only had my K3 since Christmas (& I love it, love it, love it!). I am still exploring & playing with it (between reading!). |

In addition to the screensaver stuff, I'd really love better footnote support. It really sucks to have to navigate to the footnote and then click it. When reading text with multiple footnotes/screen, this gets old really fast. There should be a way to jump directly to and between footnotes.

![]() EMail to Amazon: My Kindle broke because I tried to use the experimental screensaver function. Blah blah blah I demand a $50 refund because of my frustration. Also, I want one day shipping for my replacement Kindle. Amazon's reply: We're sorry about your problem. Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for experimental features. We'd be happy to replace your Kindle though. Please visit [url] to begin the replacement process. |

1. Design the bezel to not collect all the dust specks
2. Move the page buttons upwards 3. Better screensaver: just use the current screen and overlay a customizable textbox or image (so users can put something a message like If Found please call etc) 4. Page buttons on the top of the Kindle (for landscape) Oh and the ability to use it as a second screen. Over WiFi would be best (I'd primarily have like weather forecasts, news articles, music player on it), but I'd sacrifice my wireless and plug in the USB for something as awesome as that. When in landscape mode, enable use of the spacebar as a Next Page button.

seamless e-ink display(The whole refresh things is a bit tiring actually)
touch screen...(imaging sliding through the pages on kindle screen.**Its so smooth I'm gonna die***.) Also note taking ability with touch screen would be perfect... Better PDF support..... Ideally an ipad level experience on a E-ink screen.. A man can dream..Can't he? ![]() |
