Noticed that myself, maybe Amazon doesn't want to estimate anymore

I ordered on 12/3 and received my shipping notice on 1/9. My Kindle is supposed to be delivered on 1/14.

It seems that orders placed mid-December have an expected delivery date of late Feb/early March.

Before Amazon removed the dates mine had an order date of 12/21 and an expected ship date of 2/4. Based on Amazon boards, today (1/10) they are shipping orders placed 12/4. Who knows, just glad I received and am using my ebookwise 1150.

I hesitated for a day and ended up having to wait until early December. I was also an insomniac that night so I watched the launch live. I was *this* close to jumping on it but I thought I'd be practical and wait for someone here to review.

I ordered mine 18 Dec, and before it was removed I had an ESD of 31 Jan.
Does it look like Amazon is meeting the ESDs?

A quick (but sad) update: For financial reasons, I had to cancel my pending order. I first ordered the Kindle on Dec. 27, and before the ESDs disappeared it was showing a target delivery date in late January/early February.

But something happened that made it clear to me that I can't really afford this thing right now, so I had to cancel. Amazon's delay was good for me in that sense; I just saved $400. But the delay also cost them a sale back in December when I *could* afford it.

I hope to be back on track and able to purchase one in just a month or two. Perhaps by then the price will have dropped, or a new revision will be on the way? I can dream.

You should have kept your order if you still had the cash available to pay for it. You could pop that baby on ebay the minute you got it and nearly double up.

I ordered mine on 12 December and just got the shipping notice that delivery should be 21 January.

I ordered mine on December 25 and just recieveda notice that it should arrive sometime between Feb. 4-11. I can't wait, my excitment just jumped up a few notches.

Ditto -- I ordered on the 31st. It *is* nice to hear the dates getting closer to mine. So please keep posting when you hear from Amazon -- or when yours actually arrives. It gives the rest of us something to gauge by!

The good news is that UPS delivered mine to my front door this afternoon. The bad news is that I'm on a business trip and won't be home til Fri.

I ordered mine on 18 Dec.

It seems that Amazon is catching up with orders. You are getting yours even before me that placed the order on Dec 13. Mine is arriving tomorrow. That's good news for those that still waiting.
