When I first brought these two kitties home (17 years ago!), they hid and I barely saw them for two days. The first night when I finally found them, they were uncomfortably piled together on the top of a not-very-large barstool. The only way I was able to get them used to touch was to stroke them lightly as they ate. But now...I can't sit down for even a second without a lap full of cats!

My one cat - Thomas Tipton O'Neil the Second came to us as a baby kitty only a couple of months old. He disappeared the first night and we didn't find him for almost a week. I thought sure he'd somehow gotten outside. He'd crawled up inside the box-springs in my daughter's room and was hiding from us....

I just got done helping the gecko with some stuck shed. Now I have a very put out gecko and a very tense me.

I added two quotes to my favourite quotes on Goodreads.
I finished His Dark Material by Philip Pullman a few weeks ago. He put these two quotes as epigraphs for the last chapters of The Amber Spyglass.
They are so true and often follow each other in the same order.

I love those books; these were the last I read for my (then 15 year old) daughter at bedtime. We both cried when a certain person (won't say as to not spoil things)died; bitter tears.
I've reread all three of them. There's a lot in these books, I find. I didn't like the film though.
