Good to know. Great suggestion. Now how to get hold of it? that's the question. And I am confident that I will find an answer.

I for one enjoy the stove-top moka pot system, sure it takes a good 5 minutes to get it done and it's quite an interesting sequence of events when you're half asleep; I also finish mine off with cream, stopped using milk many years ago. Just get good cream, shake it up and pour it onto the coffee, so velvety smooth

Too bad it's 23H00 here, else I'd be having one!
you might like this old Italian technique. I put the link through Google translator, hopefully ...

Do you live outside the USA? I ask because it's in every supermarket I've been to in the USA. It has never occurred to me to think of it as exotic, or hard to get. I'm thinking maybe the size of the Kona district in Hawaii makes exporting to other places impractical.

Thank you for asking and for telling.
I never heard of it before. I live in Northern Italy.

With the information you have given it will be very easy to get some to try. My brother in law goes to Tx quite often. I'll ask him to buy a package for me.

I thought it was a rather exotic coffee. That is what appeared on the link: I just glanced at it, though.

Which brings up the question. . .

Has anyone EATEN a coffee cherry? I wonder if a perfectly good food source is being overlooked?

I should think someone has tried to eat one, but I've never heard of such a thing

Interesting that something that seems so ubiquitous in our minds, can actually be something quite new to other people.

I once worked with a girl form Yugoslavia and we drank Turkish coffee, brewed on a stove. She always turned our cups around, to read our fortunes out of the coffee-dregs.

I used to read fortunes, too, my mum taught me. I've gotten out of the habit though, lately.

I think you can order it directly from the farms in Hawaii. We visited one of the farms when we were there and I believe they shipped worldwide. The name of it was Greenwell Farms. Nice place. Had great avocados too.

Oh and a place in the US called Sweet Maria's (no relation to me or my name). They ship it, BUT they buy it green and you have to roast it yourself!

Then why don't they call it coffee, hmmmm? What are they trying to hide? Who is REALLY behind the espresso conspiracy?

Sorry, the maintenance guy who just fixed my kitchen sink was full of theories relating to bankers, Obamacare, maritime law, Abraham Lincoln, the gold standard and MY birth certificate (not Obama's who, I think he sort of liked). I just assumed coffee would be in there somewhere. Fortunately, I have the flu and had a reason to politely ask him to leave.

I know I don't always LOOK sane, and there are times when my grip on reality is tenuous at best. But DANG, I can make my conspiracies hang together logically(ish).

Thank you, from them I would get a better quality than from the supermarket in the states. My BIL goes to Austin in April and I will ask him to bring me back some, if his wife says so. She worked for years in a bar in Milano and she knows about drinks in general, I mean she is a pro.
